Jolt. It's not just a drink from the 80's.
So I watched the Amazon original movie, Jolt, when it came out a few weeks ago and I'm happy to say that...well, I don't really remember much about it. That may not be a good sign. Still, I will try to dredge something up to mention about it here as a sort of pseudo review, just in case you were thinking of checking it out.
Does it take place in the Crank universe? I don't know. I don't think I've even watched the Jason Statham movie so you're on your own there. Lots of good acting talent on display, but it kind of made me wonder if they knew what was going on. A list actors dabbling in B movies. I know movies are a gamble; there's a lot of moving parts and everybody might not be on the same page as to what they want the final product to be, or even what they imagined it would be. The result for me was forgettable, which is why I was mildly surprised at the end to have Susan Sarandon walk in for a Fast and Furious type of twist indicating this isn't the end of the tale. Part one of ten, here we go. Seemed optimistic.
